(Grafton, VT) – Grafton Village Cheese Company, makers of award-winning, handcrafted Vermont cheddar cheese, is celebrating the grand opening of their new Specialty Cheese and Wine Shoppe in the heart of historic Grafton village on Saturday, July 3, 2010. The new store is located next to The Old Tavern at Grafton in the village center and offers over 80 varieties of cheese, a large selection of fine wines, Vermont products, specialty foods and more. During the grand opening celebration, a collection of cheeses will be given to a lucky visitor every hour, with additional special gifts with purchases and for children. WTSA from Brattleboro, Vermont, will be on site for a live remote, and Grafton Village Cheese will be sampling their handcrafted cheddars as well as several other Vermont specialty cheeses. The grand opening celebration is planned for July 3rd to coincide with the Grafton Music Festival and the Vermont Symphony Orchestra concert at Grafton Ponds. A free outdoor concert featuring Red Molly, a three-piece female folk rock trio, will take place in The Old Tavern at Grafton inn parking lot beginning at 2:00 p.m., and the pinnacle event begins at 7:30 p.m., when the Vermont Symphony Orchestra will perform under the stars at Grafton Ponds Outdoor Center followed by a spectacular fireworks display. The event benefits the Brattleboro Museum & Arts Center. Grafton Village Cheese currently operates the Specialty Cheese and Wine Shoppe in Brattleboro, Vermont as well, and is a subsidiary of the non-profit Windham Foundation, whose mission is to promote Vermont’s rural communities. |
