Packaging Positions

Position Summary:

Duties and responsibilities include working in a clean food environment packaging cheese and following all policies and procedures introduced under the food safety plan.  All personnel are encouraged to work as team members to meet company social, product and safety goals.

Reports to: Finished Goods Manager

Essential Job Functions

Work as a team member to cut and package cheese in different size cheese blocks, seal different size cheese blocks and label and box different size cheese blocks. Job duties include but are not limited to:
• Working in a clean food producing environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to consistently lift 30 lbs
• Good attention to detail in food production as well as cleaning
• Attend training to gain essential food safety knowledge in accordance with SQFI programs
• Be responsible to communicate/report and food safety or quality problems to appropriate supervisor/manager
• Follow all safety procedures

Required Skills

• Strong communication/collaboration skills
• Working as part of a team
• Consistent attendance is required
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours for long periods of time

Required Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years in a related industry helpful but not required

Cheesemonger Apprentice

Position Summary:
Duties and responsibilities include providing superior customer service to our customers, educating customers about cheese and other products in the shop, assisting with pairings and selections for patrons and participating in receiving and stocking product. All personnel are encouraged to work as a team member to meet company social, product and food safety goals.

• Ability to work varied hours any day of the week – must be available weekends

Cheesemaker

Position Summary:
Duties and responsibilities include working in a clean food environment making cheese by following all policies and procedures introduced under the food safety plan. All personnel are encouraged to work as a team member to meet company social, product and safety goals.

Essential Job Functions:
Work as a team member to produce Grafton Village Cheese. Job duties include but are not limited to:
Taking lab measurements to follow cheese production
Working in a clean food producing environment
Ability to consistently lift 75 lbs
Ability to follow set time schedule
Good attention to detail in food production as well as cleaning
Attend training to gain essential food safety knowledge
Be responsible to communicate/report and food safety or quality problems to appropriate supervisor/manager
